Prints
Since 2010, I’ve been researching new approaches to print using vinyl lino. The material can be cut and torn quite easily, so is very responsive to working quickly. This approach captures a sense of immediacy whilst retaining evidence of the printing process. The forms produced can be re-figured easily, creating an open ended compositions and the potential to create quite large or complex composite images.
There are two groups of works; a series of life size figurative prints and a series of animal images that form a Random Bestiary. Both sets of works are mono-prints that gain their expressive quality from inking with a small hand roller.
